GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ)- Green Bay Area School District has announced plans to make up for Monday’s inclement weather day.
Beginning Monday, April 23, the school day will be extended an extra five minutes beyond the already added three minutes at the end of the school day. Each school day until the end of the year will have a total of eight minutes added on, and at the secondary level, the minutes will be distributed as one extra minute per class period.
School administration also decided to eliminate an early release day on April 20 and May 18, making them full school days.
Families that have already made plans for those afternoons will need to call the office and have their child excused.
Metro Bus will also be replacing Lamers bus to accommodate the longer school day.
Prom at Green Bay East High School and Green Bay Preble High School will be on April 21st. Prom at Green Bay Southwest High School will be on April 28th.
The district also rescheduled ACT testing for April 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Preble High School and on April 28 at the same time at Southwest High School.
The District and Green Bay Police School Safety Community Engagement Forum has been rescheduled for April 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Green Bay West High School.
