OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ)- A big change is coming in 2019 for Country USA. This year will be the last year that Country USA will be a five day festival.
“Country USA is going to be best fit as a three-day festival.”
HyperVibe promoter Derek Liebhauser made the announcement Tuesday morning, and said the change will benefit those who can’t take four days off of work.
“There are a lot of people who just can’t take that much time off of work, and at the same time, we want to focus on quality over quantity.
Along with that, Liebhausen says it will also change ticket prices.
“Ticket prices will be going down. We have not made any final details on the prices, but I can tell you they will be going down.”
He says they will still be bringing in the huge artists that fans are used to.
Liebhauser added that the fans and those who attend Country USA have kept it going strong, so starting next Wednesday, a 48-hour special will take place, with most tickets being close to 50 percent off.
“We are talking campsites, VIP’s, pit passes, Country Club pins, general admission, everything.”
That special will begin at 8:00 p.m.
“We don’t see this as we are taking two days away, we see this as starting a whole new festival.”
