MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ)- The mother of a Manitowoc County boy who died suspiciously is looking for answers.
Andrea Everett said she was contacted by law enforcement last week, telling her that her son, 7-year-old Ethan Hauschultz, was taken to an Emergency room, and the situation was not looking good, but it is unknown what happened.
“I was picked up at work by a Sheriff and they told me that Ethan had been taken to the emergency room and that it was not good.”
“When I got there, Ethan did not have a heartbeat, his temperature was 23 degrees and they worked on him for five hours, giving him CPR at the time and still couldn’t get a heartbeat. There was no brain activity,” Everett told Fox 11.
Ethan died later that evening, and now Everett says it is time to get some answers.
“I want justice for my son. The person responsible should go to jail for a very long time. Nobody has gotten arrested. I mean my child died for no reason whatsoever.”
Investigators are looking into a residence in the Town of Newton where the incident originated.
An autopsy was performed on Monday.
