CRANDON, WI (WTAQ) – A drug investigation in Forest County has led to the arrest of four people after several search warrants were executed and multiple controlled buys were performed.
The sheriff’s department says deputies executed a search warrant at 10804 Sokaogon Drive in Crandon on March 1. Inside that home, investigators found prescription narcotics, a large amount of pre-packaged marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
In that investigation, 35-year-old Shelda Johnson and 46-year-old Christopher Jefferson were arrested on multiple charges, including delivery of Schedule II narcotics.
A search warrant was then issued on March 17 on Old 8 Road in Crandon. There, investigators found prescription drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
Deputies arrested a 31-year-old woman on multiple charges including delivery of Schedule II narcotics and maintaining a drug house.
Then the next day, authorities say a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jefferson was made. Officers found open intoxicants, crack cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs inside the vehicle.
Jefferson and a 20-year-old woman were arrested. A second passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was cited and released.
Deputies say the investigation in each of these cases in ongoing and more arrests and charges are expected.
