APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – National security is on the minds of many of us here in Wisconsin after terror attacks in Brussels Tuesday morning.
The bombs were centered at an international airport and a major subway station there.
Appleton International Airport Director Abe Weber says they are in contact with the Transportation Security Administration.
“Everyone is part of our airport security team including our airline staff, TSA, our airport public safety, and Outagamie County Sheriff. We’re all focused on our most important job which is the safety of our customers.”
Weber couldn’t comment on what they were speaking to the TSA about but insures the public that the safety of their customers is their top priority He does stress the importance that if you see something, say something.
“If there’s ever anything that makes you uncomfortable or you find suspicious, we ask that you approach the nearest airline or security employee.”
