WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) – Preliminary hearings have been scheduled for two people accused of beating a man to death and leaving his body by the side of the road.
Tuesday, Adam Ozuna and Zachary Hohn were ordered to return to court May 11 for the preliminary hearing, according to online court records.
16-year-old Hohn and 24-year-old Ozuna allegedly beat 25-year-old Matthew Pagel to death April 11, and then dumped his body in a roadside ditch southeast of Clintonville.
Police said Pagel wanted to buy some Adderall, but the pair beat him instead. They also allegedly stole $200 and Pagel’s jacket.
Although just 16, Hohn is charged in adult court under Wisconsin law.
