GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Neighbors in the 1200 block of East Mason say they’re disturbed by a large fight that took place in front of a business in the early morning hours on Saturday.
Eric Drzewiecki lives a few doors from where the fight broke out.
“It sounded like an angry crowd,” Drzewiecki said. “I’m getting ready to call the police when all of a sudden I hear sirens and people start getting into their cars and peeling out of there.”
Drzewiecki says there have been a number of troubling incidents in the neighborhood over the last few years.
“It’s a one-off, but I think one-offs have been happening at a higher rate,” he said. “There’s just been a lot going on.”
The question, of course, is why. Drzewiecki has a theory.
“I think everyone is in a stressed out state because the world has changed over the past few years due to the pandemic. People are just trying to re-figure out life,” Drzewiecki told WTAQ.
He says he’s thinking about starting a neighborhood watch group. Officers are vowing to hold those involved accountable. No arrests have been made.
