DENMARK, WI (WTAQ) – A local meat manufacturing company is expanding and that means more workers are needed.
Salm Partners in Denmark are constantly busy and are undertaking a 36,000 square foot expansion.
“We reproduce, ready to eat sausage for brand marketers and private labelers across the country,” Keith Lindsey, Salm Partners president, tells FOX 11. “We’ve got roles for individuals who want to work the line and help us pack product. We have engineering roles.”
Some of the other jobs available include operators, maintenance technicians and supervisors.
Lindsey says about 330 people work at the facility, but 84 more full time positions need to be filled right now. The company is hoping to fill 100 positions by the end of the year.
There are three primary shifts available for workers according to Lindsey and while pay is dependent upon experience, the hourly rate starts at $11.50.
The company also provides a bus service in Green Bay for workers to get to and from the facility.
Salm Partners has been in business for the past 12 years and Lindsey says the company makes 13 percent of ready to eat sausage in the country.
A job fair will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 590 Woodrow Street in Denmark.
