DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – The elementary school principal in the Sevastopol school district has resigned.
That’s how a closed meeting of the Sevastopol school board ended Thursday night.
Back on February 23, Mary Donaldson was placed on paid administrative leave, at her request. Documents from the school board indicated that Donaldson and Superintendent Linda Underwood are both under review for concerns about their professional conduct.
The school district won’t say if the two situations are connected.
In a statement released following Thursday’s meeting, the district said:
Mrs. Donaldson has resigned effective June 30, 2016. The investigation was concluded on February 1, 2016 and Mrs. Donaldson remains an employee working on special projects for the district until June 30, 2016. She will be completing her doctoral degree and expanding her educational consulting business. The Board of Education wishes Mrs. Donaldson the best as she completes her higher education degree and expands her consulting business.
