GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A new piece of artwork aims to represent all the different people who call Northeast Wisconsin home.
Artist Gregory Frederic unveiled the artwork at the annual New North Summit at Lambeau Field Thursday.
It’s part of the New North’s ongoing digital campaign, More YOU in NEW, designed to attract and retain talent to the area.
Frederic, who moved to Green Bay in 2013 from Haiti, says he was inspired by the many great things happening here and its four seasons.
“It’s more than football. The culture here is building and growing. The arts are popping up all over the place. It’s more than you think. People should know it,” he said. “I feel like the moment I moved here, things changed for me. The people embraced me – it’s become almost like home to me.”
The public is invited to upload a photo of themselves and share what they love about living and working in the New North to be a part of the digital mosaic.
The New North Summit program features a wide range of speakers and presentations that highlight innovation, collaboration, talent and teamwork in the New North region.
The New North Summit is geared towards business executives, education leaders, non-profit and government leaders from around the region and state.
