APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Police are reporting the deaths of two people in Appleton were the result of a murder-suicide.
The bodies of Shannon Swanson, 35, and Mitchell Kounelis, 32, were found Monday night in a home in the 600 block of W. Third Street.
The investigation showed that Kounelis shot and killed Swanson before turning the gun on himself, police said Wednesday.
Police did not detail the relationship between Swanson and Kounelis, other than to say they shared the home.
