WINNECONNE, WI (WTAQ) – Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Lake Winneconne Saturday afternoon.
Deputies were called to the area of Lone Willow Island by Hidden Harbor Marina for a man that was unconscious in the water.
Deputies believe that the man was operating a personal watercraft before going into the water.
He was then taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
His name has not yet been released.
