FOX CROSSING (WTAQ) – The Cold Spring facility of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation may not be closing after all.
The plant was originally planned to be one of two Fox Valley locations the company was closing, but a tax incentive package may allow the company to consider staying open.
Also, a ratified labor agreement by the United Steelworkers on Monday night should better allow the company to meet some of their challenges.
The possibility of the Cold Springs facility remaining open is not expected to change any plans to close the Neenah Nonwovens facility.
Kimberly-Clark is the third-largest employer in the Fox Valley and they would retain that position even with the loss of more than 500 jobs.
