MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One man was stabbed and his cousin arrested after an incident early Wednesday in Manitowoc.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on possible charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of false imprisonment. A bail hearing could happen today.
According to a probable cause statement by the police, officers were called to a residence on S. 20th Street shortly after midnight Wednesday by a woman who said her nephew stabbed her son, 36.
After being taken to the hospital, the victim said the suspect “began saying something about Satan and (the suspect) began stabbing (the victim. (The two) were not arguing or fighting when (the suspect) began stabbing him,” the report states.
The suspect told police he was upset with the victim for insulting him, but denied grabbing a knife or stabbing him.
Many details of the extent of the injuries are redacted from the report, but suggests at least five areas of injury. It noted the exact number of stab wounds would need to be determined at a later date.
