APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The 55-year-old Appleton man accused of both breaking into an Appleton bar and robbing a Kimberly convenience store has pleaded not guilty at arraignment.
Gary Perry faces felony counts of Burglary with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, and Aggravated Battery with Intentions to Cause Great Bodily Harm.
Perry allegedly broke into the Wishing Wall bar on March 5, destroying several gambling machines with a hammer.
Prosecutors also believe Perry is responsible for the April 9 BP gas station robbery, where a sales clerk was injured after being struck with a hammer.
Visual evidence and tips from the public led officers to Perry.
A jury trial is set to begin July 25.
