HOWARD, WI (WTAQ) – An explosion and fire has destroyed a Howard home and two garages.
Crews were called to a residence on Maywood Avenue around 3:25 pm Saturday.
Upon arrival, firefighters found an unattached garage was fully engulfed in flames.
The blaze had already spread to the house on that property and a neighbor’s garage.
Officials say the house and garage on the property the fire started are total losses, along with the neighboring garage.
While not a complete loss, the neighbor’s house suffered extensive damage.
The cause of the explosion and fire is under investigation.
No damage estimate has been given.
