NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ) – Fire has damaged a New London home.
Crews responded late Saturday morning to a residence on Fremont Street, where a homeowner smelled smoke and realized a hot tub cover was on fire.
The man tried to extinguish the blaze, but wind blew the fire into his house.
Firefighters say the west side of the home was full of flames, and fire was also burning through the roof.
The fire caused roughly $250,000 worth of damage.
