DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – Two St. Norbert College staffers are asking for your help.
Ben Sauer and Amanda Beck are in the midst of the national James Beard Blended Burger Competition, which runs through July 31.
Beck notes “right now we’re at 12th place out of about 200 burgers. The great thing is that we’re the only college to be entered in this competition.”
Blended burgers are 75% beef and 25% mushroom.
Sauer and Beck’s ‘Lodi Dodi Smoke Burger’ uses beef brisket.
It’s topped with sun-dried tomato and cherry chutney, gouda cheese, red onion, and crispy sweet potato straws.
