GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The 2022 Bellin Run will feature a field of athletes as it returns to an in-person event.
The 46th annual Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 11.
Defending champions Risper Gesabwa and Jared Ward will participate.
Ward will attempt to capture his second-consecutive Bellin Run victory after winning the event in 2019. Ward will be challenged by past Bellin Run champ Brendan Gregg, who was second in 2019 after winning the event in 2017 and 2018.
And lining up alongside Gesabwa on the women’s side is a new challenger to the Bellin Run, MaKenna Myler, who became an internet sensation after running a 5:25 mile while nine months pregnant.
The Bellin Run is still accepting runners and walkers of all levels and abilities.
Registrations for the last in-person event topped the 11,000 mark.
The registration fee is $30 per person through Wednesday, June 1, when it increases to $35. In-person registration at the Friday, June 10 expo in Astor Park is $40.
The half-mile Children’s Run (ages 10 and younger) will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, June 10. The registration fee is $12 per participant through June 6, when online registration ends. In-person registration on Friday, June 10 will be $15 per participant.
