APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Everything you need to know about the history of Appleton is now set up in one place.
The Appleton Historical Society held a grand opening for its museum on North Durkee Street Thursday.
It includes a variety of items highlighting Appleton featuring historical images and maps.
The museum also covers the history of music, manufacturing, and of course, beer brewing.
James Richter, secretary of the Appleton Historical Society, tells WLUK they will rotate exhibits to help tell the entire backstory of Appleton.
“We think it’s so important that people value the background of their community. whether they grew up here or moved here ten years ago, that they learn about what a great community this is and they also bring their children and grandchildren in and teach them about the community.”
The museum is open Thursday through Sunday and it costs $5 to get in.
It’s free for children under 13.
