APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Appleton police say a woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her husband overnight.
Police say they were called around 3:40 a.m. Friday to a home in the 900 block of N. Durkee Street for a medical call. Officers arrived to find 35-year-old Chad Hafeman with, “injuries consistent with being stabbed.”
Hafeman was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday.
Later in the day, police issued a statement confirming the arrest of Hafeman’s 34-year-old wife, Tina. Police are recommending a charge of first-degree intentional homicide, but she has yet to be formally charged.
Appleton police say they are “confident this is an isolated incident” and believe there is no threat to the public.
