APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Appleton are releasing more information into the murder of a man on Saturday.
Police have identified the victim as 43-year-old Jose Gil-Leon. His daughter, 24-year-old Lidia A. Gil was shot and wounded during the incident as well. She was released from the hospital on Saturday.
The call came in around 2:45 a.m. Saturday to 159 Foster Court where both father and daughter lived. Police say other people were there at the time of the shooting.
The Appleton Police Department have issued arrest warrants nationwide for two brothers, 29-year-old Jorge Luis Zendejas-Cano and 31-year-old Miguel Zendejas-Cano. Both are considered suspects in the shooting.
On Sunday, police were notified that a vehicle believed to be used in connection with the homicide crossed the border into Mexico at Laredo, Texas. Authorities say its unknown who was in the vehicle.
Meanwhile, police are now looking for 20-year-old Alejandro Cano, who they think was at the house at the time of the shooting and was a witness.
