WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Dash cam video captured a crash involving a Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department squad car from Monday.
Authorities say the squad was parked in the middle lane of Interstate 41 around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Up ahead, other squad cars had blocked the left lane. Behind the scene were traffic cones indicating that the 2 left lanes were closed.
All squad cars had their flashing lights on.
The driver who slammed into the squad car suffered minor injuries. Officials say the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
No one was in the squad car at the time of the crash.
