MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – A fight over a woman led to a huge disturbance in a Manitowoc park last night.
Police say two men were arguing about the woman at the basketball courts in Washington Park.
They broke up the fight, but one of the men came back to the park in his vehicle and tried to hit people near the courts.
Several people had to jump on picnic tables to get out of the way. No one was injured.
Police say the driver was 38-year-old Clarence Yelvington. Yelvington has not yet been charged, but police are seeking charges of recklessly endangering safety.
A 20 year old man who was involved in the initial argument, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Yelvington is expected to be back in court next week.
Both men involved in the incident have been banned from the park. Police say they monitor the park regularly and say this was an isolated incident.
