GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It’s not every day you can enjoy lunch with a moose but starting Thursday you can.
It’s the debut of “Lunch with Morty” in the parking lot at 1263 Main Street from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The event is put on by Olde Main Street Inc. and is free to the public.
Brehanna Skaletski is with the organization and says you’re invited every Thursday through August 25th.
“We’ll have picnic tables out there so, it will be a great opportunity to come out and have many different choices to pick from and then enjoy your lunch in an urban setting.”
Food trucks from Skaliwagon, Eggroll Plus, Greek Boy’s Gyro, Coffee Bar, and Thibby’s Ice Cream will be on hand, rotating every other week with Peace, Love & BBQ, Taqueria Malanado’s, and ZoZo’s Kitchen.
The Morty the Moose Mural was created by local artist Matt Bero and was implemented by the “Art on Main” program, a public art program created to enhance the Olde Main Street District.
This lunches will show appreciation of the artwork and promote pedestrian traffic throughout the district.
This is the first year for the event.
