GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Police are looking for a man they think used a fake check at a local business.
Police say Andrew J. Adams, 46, went to a business on the east side of Green Bay, bought $1,300 worth of merchandise and paid for it using a fraudulent check.
Police say Adams is also suspected in southern Wisconsin of writing fake checks from Wells Fargo as well as a fictional People’s State Bank.
Adams is also wanted on a warrant from the state Department of Corrections.
Adams is described as 6-feet tall and 200 pounds. He has scars on his left hand and forearm.
He was last seen driving a light green 2006 Honda Element SUV, with Wisconsin license plate number 534-RYY.
Police think Adams might be staying at motels in the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas, and may be traveling to and from the Madison area.
Police say anyone who sees Adams should not accept any form of payment from him. Instead, call local law enforcement.
