LUXEMBURG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — No one was injured in a fire Saturday morning.
Around 10:13 a.m., the Luxemburg Community Fire Department was sent to County Road AB for reports of smoke coming out of the eaves of a home.
When firefighters arrived, they found a single-story ranch home with smoke coming from eaves on all sides of the home, and flames showing from the eaves on the back side of the home.
After forcing entry into the house, fire crews were able to determine there was no one inside the home.
The first in crew worked to extinguish the flames from inside of the home and the attic area.
Shortly after, the roof began to show signs of collapsing and crews were pulled out of the building and operations were performed from the outside of the house.
Once it was determined safe for re-entry, crews were able to go back in and extinguish the fire.
The home owner was not home when the fire broke out.
Fire crews were on scene for approximately 5 hours, and there were no injuries.
The home and its contents had significant fire, smoke, and water damage.
LCFD says the cause of the fire is likely to be electrical.
