GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A new list of the world’s most valuable sports franchises puts the Green Bay Packers toward the top.
Forbes ranks the Packers as the 25th most valuable globally at nearly two-billion-dollars.
For the 2016 fiscal year the Packers enjoyed record revenue, record net income and record profit from operations.
Packers President Mark Murphy says the big reasons for the great fiscal year is continued success on the field and the popularity of the league.
Murphy also says Atrium businesses had strong financial showings, including a record number of people going on Lambeau Field tours.
The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable in the world, and Forbes says other NFL teams like the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots and New York Giants are worth more than Green Bay.
