APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) — Mothers Day is coming up this Sunday and floral shops are getting ready for the big day.
Kyle Hogarty is the co-owner of Flowerama in Green Bay and Appleton and says supply chain issues and staffing problems have caused them some stress, but they’re getting used to it.
“The issues that we were having with our supplies, those are getting fixed, but as those are getting fixed, new ones are coming in,” Hogarty explained. “We’re getting used to it now. It’s kind of an industry standard, I would say, as far as the supply issues.”
Hogarty says, however, that despite the issues, they’ve taken steps to get ahead of them.
“We do our best to make sure the customer won’t be affected in any way shape, or form,” said Hogarty. “It’s a lot of us preparing and making sure things are done in advance.”
Hogarty says Mothers Day is the busiest time of year for them, surpassing even Valentines day.
