ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) – A fire on New Year’s Eve at an Allouez barbershop leaves four people out in the cold.
Firefighters were called around 4 p.m. Wednesday to Brien’s Barbershop on Allouez Avenue. The building also contained residential units.
Crews say a 9-year-old discovered the blaze and safely evacuated.
The cause was found to be careless use of smoking materials. Damage is estimated at $10,000, mostly to the basement.
