MADISON, WI (WTAQ)- Legislation making Wisconsin the 25th right-to-work state in the nation is headed to the Assembly following narrow passage by the Senate last night.
The bill passed, 17-15, with Republican Senator Jerry Petrowski joining with all Democrats in voting no.
Protesters in the gallery chanted “shame” and “2016” after the vote, which followed nine hours of debate.
The bill will be taken up by the Assembly next week, and Governor Walker has indicated he will sign it.
