GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — A Green Bay Elementary Music Teacher will be featured on ‘Jeopardy!’ tonight.
Christina Clark teaches at Danz and Langlade Elementary Schools and participated in the show earlier this year.
“I’ve been a Jeopardy fan my entire life,” Clark said Tuesday. “I remember when I was younger saying I wanted to be on the show, and then I started taking the online test.”
She took that test 15 times–once a year–before winding up one of the around 400 people invited to the show every year.
“If you don’t get chosen in the next 18 months [after the test] then you can take the test the following year and just keep trying,” said Clark.
While she can’t talk about the results, she says she’s proud of what she did.
“I had a wonderful time,” Clark said. “My biggest goal when I went out there was to not embarrass myself, and I think I accomplished that.”
Clark says her students knew about her Jeopardy obsession–she watches every weekday–and couldn’t believe that she had competed.
“When I got my photos from the studio where I’m standing on the stages with Ken Jennings, I showed them that picture and they gasped. All the air was sucked out of the room,” she laughed.
Jeopardy airs weeknights at 6:00 locally on Fox 11.
