APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday at Jones Park in Appleton for a 31,000 square-foot amphitheater that was donated by Miron Construction.
Jones Park has been closed for nearly two years as it undergoes renovations.
The amphitheater, which includes a backstage area for performers, will serve as a hockey rink with a warming house during the winter.
Miron Construction donated the amphitheater as part of their 100-year celebration.
Construction of the amphitheater is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
