MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A 25-year-old man is in custody after he fled from police when they tried arresting him for an outstanding felony warrant.
The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday on Ogden St.
Police say the man fled from officers, went into his residence, and barricaded himself in a bedroom.
The man threatened he was armed with a firearm and made statements about being able to use it.
Negotiators were able to talk the man into surrendering peacefully.
The name of the man is being withheld pending formal charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
