FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – Fond Du Lac Police say the victim from a near drowning incident on Sunday has passed away.
47-year-old Daniel Thompson was pronounced deceased Tuesday afternoon.
Officers were called to the “Big Hole” area of the Fond Du Lac Marina.
Witnesses pulled the man from the water and bystanders started performing CPR.
Officers determined that Thompson was operating a remote-controlled boat on shore when it lost power.
Officials say Thompson swam out to retrieve the boat, but eventually went under water.
