NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – A man who was allegedly involved in a standoff with police in Neenah on Monday has been charged.
30-year-old Eric Vandenboogaard was charged with recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
According to the complaint, Vandenboogaard got into an argument with another man and fired a gun, striking a mattress.
A neighbor took the gun away from the scene.
Vandenboogaard was arrested and told police he did not mean for the gun to go off, did not point it anybody and said perhaps he had 10 beers that day.
