TIGERTON, WI (WTAQ) – A Shawano County man has been killed in a workplace accident.
“The report was that a 46-year-old Tigerton man had been injured while working with logging equipment, said Shawano County Sheriff Captain Tom Tuma.
The Sheriff’s Department responded to Tigerton Lumber Company Thursday morning. Tuma said life-saving efforts were underway when they got there.
“There were several EMS personnel that worked in the building.”
Rescue crews arrived on the scene but were unable to save the man.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is assisting the county in the investigation.
