GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced some road closures that could affect late-night travelers.
If you’ve been feeling some bumps while traveling on I-41 at Oneida Street it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The DOT will be closing down some stretches starting Sunday to address the issue.
DOT Spokesperson Mark Kantola explains the situation.
“Starting Sunday night at about 6 PM we’re going to be fixing the bumps at the approaches to the Oneida and Parkview Road overpass,” says Kantola.
He says they’ve heard a fairly common complaint in this area.
“Many people notice a little bump there as they go over the bridges,” says Kantola.
He explains how those inconvenient bumps begin.
“Since we built the bridges there’s been some settling at the approaches,” explains Kantola. “They sit over some soil.”
The closures begin Sunday night and will continue through Wednesday and there will be full closures at the Oneida St. Interchange on both Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:30 pm to 4:30 am.
The roadwork is expected to be finished by Wednesday night.
Updates and additional information on the roadwork can be found here.
