GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Around 9 last night, GBPD responded to a complaint of gunshots in the 1200 block of South Broadway St on Green Bay’s near west side.
No one was found injured and there is only believed to be property damage to a residence and vehicles at this time.
Police and Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, which does not appear to be a random event.
Green Bay Police Captain Kevin Warych says there are still questions surrounding the reason behind the incident.
“This case is being actively worked by detectives to try to determine the motive,” he says.
According to past experiences, there most likely was something that prompted the violence.
“Based on history shootings don’t appear to be random, but investigators are working to understand why this shooting occurred,” says Warych.
Green Bay Police is actively working with the community to better understand the event.
“We work with the community and we want to make sure that the neighbors know that we’re doing everything we can,” explains Warych.
