GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The National Weather Service says Brown County is under a flood warning until 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Flooded streets were reported in Green Bay area, including Allouez and Bellevue.
Major flooding was reported on Main and Mason Streets.
Winds gusts of up to 60 miles per hour led to downed trees in Northeast Wisconsin.
Downed trees were reported in the Fox Valley area.
Many streets remain blocked off because of high water. Emergency crews are asking people to stay home until the water is cleared from most roads.
Wisconsin Public Service estimates over 2,000 people are affected by multiple power outages in the area.
Fire crews were going business to business on Main Street to safely remove employees.
Employees at Dollar Tree, Arby’s, and Pick ‘N Save had to receive help getting out of work.
FOX 11 spoke with Sierra Larsen in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts who was waiting for her daughter to get out of work at Arby’s, which is across the street.
“It looks horrible, it really does. You look over there and they’re under water.”
She said it was tough not having communication with her, but felt better knowing safety crews were helping get her safely out of the building.
“Watching the fire people over there. Wait to see if they’re trying to save people and get them out, or what”
