APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Thanks to a state grant, Appleton International Airport will have a new hanger.
Governor Scott Walker announced over $125 thousand dollars from the Transportation Economic Assistance program.
The new hanger will house up to four regional jets as well as office and maintenance space.
Construction on the new hangar is expected to be complete in 2019.
The total cost of the project is $252,000.
The new facility will aid in the retention of 250 employees at Air Wisconsin Airlines and is expected to create 73 new jobs.
