DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) – A local university will be holding a 10th annual celebration this Saturday that’s aimed at giving community members a lot of entertainment for little cost.
St. Norbert College is opening their campus to the community this Saturday starting at 10 AM for SNC Day.
The morning kicks off with a 5K Memorial Run and continues with live music, food trucks, a football game, and much more.
St. Norbert College spokesperson Mike Counter highlights the best part.
“Most everything here is free,” he says.
Counter gives some insight on why the university hosts this annual get-together.
“We look at St. Norbert as an extension to the community,” he says. “We’re here, we have a lot of events and a lot of things going on at this campus.”
One component will be featured early and often on Saturday.
“Music galore, three stages of music,” explains Counter.
The live music starts right at 10 in the morning and continues late into the afternoon.
One of the biggest attractions will be the St. Norbert football game, which won’t even require transportation to attend for some fans.
“There’s a trolly that will take you right down to the stadium and take you back after the game,” says Counter.
High school students will have the opportunity to join guided tours of the universities campus throughout the day.
