GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Brown County Emergency Management is helping community members get prepared for emergencies.
September has been declared National Preparedness Month in Brown County.
As part of the effort to help the community think about emergencies, Emergency Management is hosting “Disasters in the Dark”.
“It is a program that we have developed with the Brown County Library and the goal behind that is to get people educated about being prepared.”
Emergency Management Director Lauri Maki says the event will be held at 6:00pm Friday at the Brown County Library.
Emergency Management will give a short presentation about preparedness, followed by the movie Twister.
The county is hoping to have more events next year.
Soda, popcorn, and water will be available.
