LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) – Little Chute School District buildings and Saint John’s school were put onto lockdown earlier today after a witness reported seeing a lone individual walking on a sidewalk with a long gun that was partially concealed by a coat.
Fox Valley Metro officers were dispatched to the area of Madison and Main Street around 11:20 this morning (WED.) and schools were shut down due to the proximity.
Officers located the individual and determined it was a BB gun that was being carried home from a local resale shop.
This individual posed no threat to area staff or students and did not partake in any sort of criminal behavior.
