GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Local area nursing students are helping children in the hospital with the Books and Blanket campaign.
It was the 4th annual project for the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Student Nursing Association.
Each year they collect books and fleece fabric, which is used to make blankets.
“I really enjoy helping out because it really helps out our community, helps these kids to have some comfort at this time when they are in the hospital which can be a scary time for kids,” event organizer, Amanda Czarnecki, told Fox 11 News.
Drop-off boxes for donations are located on the NWTC Green Bay campus.
