NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – A man pleaded not guilty in court on Monday after being involved in a standoff in Neenah.
Eric Vandenboogaard faces a felony count of recklessly endangering safety and three other counts, following the September 10th incident.
Court records show that trial is scheduled for February 12-13.
The criminal complaint states that Vandenboogaard fired a round inside his apartment following an argument and was eventually arrested by police.
The fired bullet struck a mattress and a neighbor was able to get the gun and lock it in his safe.
The complaint also states that Vandenboogaard told police that he didn’t mean for the gun to go off, didn’t point it at the individual he argued with, and perhaps drank 10 beers that day.
