MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A state appeals court denied Brian Cooper’s appeal Tuesday – upholding his conviction for the 2012 murder of Alisha Bromfield and her unborn child in Door County.
He is serving two consecutive life sentences.
The appeal focused on three issues: his request to change lawyers was improperly denied, the judge erred by barring certain testimony from his expert witness, and, that exclusion violated his rights to present a defense.
The court denied all three arguments in its 20-page decision.
