MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – A 55-year-old Illinois man will spend nearly six years in prison for scamming Wisconsinites.
Gregory Kuczora accepted around $100,000 in up-front fees from Marinette County residents for ‘guaranteed’ business loans.
In all, FBI officials say Kuczora defrauded 68 people of $1,200,000, using that money to fund his family’s living expenses.
He also underpaid federal income taxes by roughly $200,000.
In addition to five years and nine months in federal prison, Kuczora will spend three years under supervised release.
