ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – One suspect is still on the loose after an overnight chase that ended with a car crashing into the gate at Austin Straubel International Airport.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety says this started around 12:30 this morning, when officers tried to pull over a car on S. Oneida Street that was driving without headlights on.
The car took off and officers chased it.
The car went west on Waube Lane and continued west on Adam Drive.
It then went onto airport property and hit a gate.
One of the people in the car climbed onto the hood and went over the fence onto airport property. Another male also ran away. Meanwhile, an officer held two passengers at the scene.
Officers from three other departments helped search for the people who ran.
One of the suspects, a 24-year-old Green Bay man, was arrested for resisting arrest.
