GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – In 2019, the Cellcom Marathon will move to downtown Green Bay.
Start and finish lines will be at Leicht Memorial Park on Dousman Street instead of Lambeau Field.
The 5K run on Saturday, May 18 is moving near the Green Bay Distillery in Ashwaubenon.
The course will still include a signature lap around Lambeau Field
“This move allows us to introduce new courses for all of our events, while still giving people the opportunity to circle Lambeau Field. The event started downtown for our first seven years, so it is fun for us to go back to our roots and give runners some new scenery,” Race Director Toni Jaeckels said in a press release Thursday.
The Marathon will take place on Sunday May 19.
